I would be a little over 7 weeks pregnant today. As of 5/13 I was experiencing period like bleeding. I have been getting HCG levels drawn every 48 hours. The numbers are as follows 5/13 -124, 5/15-145, 5/17-79 (the doctors said to wait a week since the numbers were coming down) 5/27-126, 5/29-161. The doctor called today and said it is unusual that the numbers came down and went back up. She said it could be a new pregnancy but the fact that the numbers aren’t doubling mean it’s not a viable pregnancy. She explained she cannot determine if it’s ectopic or molar but she highly advised me to go to the ER and get methotrexate even though she ultimately cannot confirm ectopic. I am going now and I requested and ultrasound as well as a blood draw just to make sure. I really don’t want to get the shot I feel like I am holding onto this small chance of hope that the baby is there and it’s just really early. This is my very first pregnancy and miscarriage all in one. 😢I am scared and so confused because I don’t have straight answers and I feel like I am being asked to terminate the pregnancy without having answers. She said the US probably won’t tell us anything and she expects the blood draw to be wonky since it hasn’t been consistent. So basically no clear answers. Has anyone gone through this or had similar experiences? Please let me know!! Thank you 💕♥️
