Talk to your dentist- my advised unless you have issues they suggest 2yrs for first appt.

My daughter had her first appointment the week of her first birthday with a pediatric dentist and she is going back in 2 weeks for her second visit at 18 months. The hygenist did a good brushing with a toothbrush and tried the little polisher brush for a few seconds to introduce it and then the dentist came in and felt around her mouth, counted her teeth, and answered any questions i had about her lip tie and fluoride since we have well water. She has been in a biting stage lately if I try to look/feel in her mouth for new teeth, so this time should be interesting.

Took my son when he was 15 months old. He had 12 teeth and the molars were cutting. They did a quick check and clean, and talked about proper dental hygiene and staying away from sugary drinks etc. My son cried the whole time lol he hates doctors...he knows they want to touch and prod
