Update: I called my ob answering service Sunday and due to the holiday my only option was go to er or wait and get seen today. I chose to wait as I’m an er nurse at the sister hospital so literally all the same doctors and PAs work at both locations. Also I know that there isn’t anyone from ultrasound after 11pm so I would have like had labs, pelvic and informal bedside ultrasound which would have cost $500 plus and the embarrassment of my peers being all up in my business. I chose to wait and decided that unless i kept bleeding heavily or started having bad cramps it wasn’t worth it. My OB even said over the phone that if I was miscarrying there was nothing he could do. So yesterday bleeding lightened and today only trace blood when I wipe. My OB checked fetal heart tones, which were nice and strong and did speculum exam. He saw one spot on my cervix that was bleeding but cervix was closed and looked good. So no sex for a while.

So backstory, I’m currently 12w4d and started spotting at 7weeks throughout the day every day until 10 weeks. I was seen multiple times and each baby was ok. Around 10 weeks I started to spot every 2-3 days pretty minimally. Today was the first time I had sex since spotting started and immediately I was bleeding. TMI but saw my blood on my husband and my thigh and then maybe an hour ago felt little gush sensation and looked at my pad and this is what I saw. I know the cervix is very sensitive and bleeds easily but this seems like more blood than I would expect. Thoughts? Anyone have a similar situation with heavier bleeding after sex? I don’t think I’m going to go get checked out as the only place open is the ER and this doesn’t seem like an emergent situation.
