Hey guys! Those that have already begun weaning baby off bottle, how’d you do it?

Well I thought I did cold turkey but from reading people's comments I guess not. We were offering water in a straw cup and a 360 cup although she never did like the 360 cup we were doing that when she could have water so like at 6 months or so and then also she was drinking from a regular cup as well but she was still taking bottles and she was still taking bottles then the day she was about to turn one I went to Walmart and bought like four different sippy cups and just told her it's like okay no more bottles I said that's it you're old enough no bottles and I just threw them all away and just gave her the drink from the cups that I bought and I just found them a couple that she likes more than others and that's where we are. She likes the straw cops the best but I hate them because they leak milk all over the place.

I started at 6 months with offering water from a cup, or a straw. It took a while but he figured it out. At 11 months we were down to 1-2 bottles per day and mostly solids. Dropped it down to one an started offering formula/milk cups during the day. Offered breakfast instead of a morning bottle and before 12 months he was weaned off the bottle and formula all at the same time.

Currently trying to wean him off breastfeeding and bottles and ugh not easy. My guy hates cows milk 🙄

My daughter had a bottle aversion so she prefers her sippy cup. She only gets a bottle once a day right now and that’s the only time she’d even be willing to take it. Once I’m out of formula she won’t be getting anymore bottles

I started weaning at 10 months and he was done a few days after he turned 1. My son was formula fed. I started just not putting as much in his bottle over time then substituted his midday bottle for water. By 11.5 months, he was only getting 3-4oz in the morning and before bed and to get rid of the morning feed, I started giving him breakfast right away instead and then the bedtime bottle I just stopped offering it during story time and he was fine.
