Hey I’m looking for a house and I want to rent a house but I want to end up making it mines like owning it . How does that work ? And comment if you know any good areas ty💜💜. Help me out y’all ion got family or friends to talk too with stuff like this I’ll appreciate it .

Why don’t you just purchased a home, how was your credit, do you have funds available, if your credit is good, you probably can qualify for 3 1/2% down payment, you’re gonna need anywhere from six to $24,000 for closing cost depends on the price of the property, your mortgage is not supposed to be more than 1/3 of your income that way you can afford everything else. I would talk to a realtor, I can get a mortgage broker that way you have different options of different banks, and go see some house. You may get lucky with the lease with an option to buy type of situation, but either way I will go through a realtor because they would have more options than just rent.com or something like that￼.

I live in Australia and rent to own isn’t really a thing here unless it’s done by private agreements usually between family like a grandmother to her grandchildren etc. So depending on where you live I would probably contact a realtor agent and inquire with them

I haven’t done it personally but you could look on Facebook marketplace, Zillow, or any other home buying site and look for houses that have an “owner finance” option. That just means you pay the owner instead of a bank- basically a fancy term for rent to own. It usually a better option for people who don’t have good credit and can’t get a loan from the bank, but you might need to save up for a down payment. If you want to do this MAKE SURE you pay for a home inspector to check out the house. Don’t let the owner tell you they already got an inspection done, you want to pay someone to do it so you know what issues they might be trying to hide
