Can urgent care do a blood hcg test?

If it makes medical sense. They can’t just do tests for no reason.

You can always ask, but I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just take an at home pregnancy test, or see your actual doctor for something like that. They want to address and treat the condition in which you’ve come in for. They want to get you in and out, so they can tend to the next patient. Have a blood pregnancy test done when you’re there for something else isn’t really “urgent”..

They can because sometimes they need to know if you’re pregnant before doing other treatments or prescribing some medications. But  you’ll end up paying a LOT more to have it done there than you would if you just went to your regular doctor. Unless there is a reason they need to know right then, I don’t think the convenience would be worth a few hundred dollars to me.

You can ask for it but it would probably be considered elective and wouldn’t be covered
