Did/do you have separation anxiety when in a different room than your baby?

So I’m the mom to a newborn baby girl that i’m absolutely in love with. she’s a pretty needy baby always wants mom or dad whether she’s awake or asleep. i can go take a shower and she will be with my husband and i miss her just in that 10-15 minutes and get anxiety not being with her. did anyone else feel like this?!

With my first I did this time round I don’t I trust she is ok with my partner or parents while I’m dealing with my crazy toddler but i think I only don’t because I haven’t got the time to think about it if that makes sense. I think if I was away from her for a few hours I would definitely feel anxious

Yep FTM here and yeh I miss my baby boy when I’m not with him.
I’ve just started sleeping him in his cot in the nursery and putting the monitor on
And I just miss him so much even though he is right there and I’m constantly checking the monitor watching that he is breathing etc
My husband offered the other night me to sleep in the spare room for a night and he’ll take care of baby.. I said no because I’d be up all night missing and worrying about him anyway.

No... lol but I’m not super maternal. I love my girl, and enjoy cuddling and playing with her. But I also enjoy getting out of the house without her and having a break

I chose not to leave my babies alone until after they turn 4 months. I do work one day a week so my husband has to baby wear when I’m at work and baby needs a nap. To take a shower I put baby on playmat outside the shower and let baby play. Everyone has to do what’s right for them and their family. If you don’t want to separate this early you don’t have to (if you are a SAHM)

When I’m in a different room I imagine her crying so I feel the need to check on her all the time because I’m paranoid. Is that the same thing? If I know she’s with my husband or my mom I don’t have any anxiety though.

If I’m out running errands for a couple hours, yes. If I’m in the other room, not really 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe a little bit, but I enjoy having a break sometimes. This is baby #2 for me so I’m also dealing with a crazy toddler during the day
