When is it okay to take your baby into a chlorinated pool?

No judgment/hate. Just looking for other opinions or others who have already taken their infant “swimming”... I have read all sorts of things on google lol.

I’m not sure whats ped recommended but I bought my baby a little pool floaty thing he can lay down in. It has a little shader too to protect him from the sun! I haven’t used it yet but I saw some pictures of babies using them in the Facebook group im in and it seemed like a good idea! Only exposes theirs feet to the water so I guess it’s like dipping their lil toes in ☺️ i of course will be right next to him the entire time he’s in it.

I’ve also read conflicting information so maybe ask your doctor. But from my understanding if you take baby in earlier than 3 months, the pool needs to be warm since babies can’t regulate their body temperature and also not too chlorinated but obviously chlorinated enough lol.. so if it’s not your pool it could be difficult to know.

A lot of swim classes around my area start at 6 months but there’s some that start at 2 weeks! 
There are so many variables!! My LO is almost 8 weeks and I’m still debating on weather or not to have him around the pool...I think I’m going to wait until he has better head control.
