Stomach cramps after breastfeeding?

I’m one week postpartum and breastfed for the first time today due to my baby having some issues at birth. Immediately after my first feeding my stomach started cramping and hasn’t let up since, I’m just wondering if it’s normal or if it even has anything to do with the breastfeeding?

Totally normally and actually helpful! It’s your uterus contracting more. This helps with healing and your uterus go back down in size faster.

Your uterus is contracting to get back to its regular size. Totally normal. It lasted for around three days for me being able to actually feel it.

It’s very normal and it’s because of breastfeeding. When you breastfeed your stomach will contract, almost described as “healing the wound” from where the placenta detached itself. It is normal but if that pain gets intense or you get worried I’d call your doctor just to be safe
