Me and my step son don't really get along but I've been wanting to change that. His birthday is today and I bought him a Machine gun Kelly CD. I went in his room to give it to him and he got mad and said he doesn't listen to that stuff. His dad told me he did and I told him that and he said "No. My mom and dad WANT me to listen to that shit. They want me to be normal and mold me into bullshit. And now you are too. Just leave me TF alone!" I told him "Ok. Well what music do you like?" He told me I wouldn't like him and would just judge him. I promised I wouldn't. He has a speaker in his room so he hooked up his phone and out of nowhere the loudest, heavy metal screamo shit comes out if nowhere. I tried to be casual about it but I know the look on my face said Wtf. I said "It's very interesting." He actual laughed at that. So we sat in his room for about 30 minutes listening to screamo. I guess I would call that bonding a success lol.
