Am I being petty?

So I’m talking to this guy for a month we hung out and he admitted that he was using a fake number to text me . He finally gave me his REAL number today he said he “ don’t trust giving it out” but we talked for a month? Am I wrong to be mad that he lied that it wasn’t his number it was a texting app

I actually think its kinda smart on his part for protecting purposes. You really never know who you're talking to online, if I was still online dating I'd probably do the same incase stuff got bad or weird.

I mean technically it couldn’t have been fake if he was texting you on it, if it was like a WhatsApp number or Google voice or something, itsjust an alternative means to communicate rather than through your direct cell number. So it’s not really lying. But also, if he has those boundaries up then he probably has a reason for it. And he felt comfortable enough  after a month to lower those boundaries so it sounds like a good thing.

As long as he facetimes you n u see his actual face n its his picture then i wouldnt care. I wouldnt give my number out to a bunch of ppl online. Some girls think they found their future husband on the first chat and then blow up your phone!  
I met a guy once after chatting for a week i thought the meeting went good but next morning this fucker called me at 6 am!!! I turned my phone on silence and texted him when i woke up dont do that again. Next morning called at 6 am again im like buddy wtf r u doing hes like im awake and thinking about you. I had to block him! So yeah i believe in not giving ur real number lol

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. He only did it to protect his information in case things didn’t go so well. He was honest with you and that’s what matters

Nope he has his reasons. He didn’t lie at all just used another way of communicating. He’s protecting himself by using those other ways of communicating.
