It's not uncommon for kids to have a variation of a parent/grandparent's name. Aside from leigh/ly, I really don't even feel that Emily & Everleigh sound all that similar. One is Emil & one is Ever. Now if the names were something like Marina & Karina, then yeah, I would agree that those two are very similar.

I know a family with a Tory, a Tory jr and a Cori lol. With that being said I think everleigh is fine. If you’re still iffy though, I absolutely adore the name Ever for a little girl.

It is similar but I would still use it. Plenty of kids are named after their parents, sure it’s usually after the father, but I honestly don’t think it matters. I was with someone before that wanted to name our future kid Brittney 😂 you guys love it so go for it!
