I am due any day now and am so excited to meet this baby girl!! I broke up with her dad when I was 16 weeks along because he was being verbally abusive, wouldn’t get a job, lying about things that could have been very detrimental to my or babies health, and many more reasons that I won’t get into. He hasn’t really checked in my whole pregnancy. The only times we’ve talked is when I reached out to him to ask about a gene he is a carrier of because I was seeing a high risk specialist who needed to know and also when I confronted him for telling people I changed my number, blocked him on social media, and that my daughter might not be his. He randomly texted me in early May to tell me all about his life and not once did he ask about the baby. He also texted me happy Mother’s Day, which was kind but I know it was his mom. Other than that I haven’t heard from him at all. He is well aware I have some pregnancy complications that make me very high risk for preterm labor and for all he knows she could have already been born. My question is, if he isn’t reaching out would you let him know when she is born? I know he isn’t busy because he is posting video game streams and rapping videos online.
