7weeks, no heartbeat, and 4cml

I went to an OB/GYN ER yesterday due to bleeding. Turns out they were not concerned about the bleeding, but the size of the baby and lack of heartbeat. It measured at 4cml and the Dr said it should be closer to 7cml. There was also no heartbeat detected. The Dr told me to prepare for a non viable pregnancy and there was little hope it would go forward. I will call my regular Dr tomorrow to try to get an appointment to see her.

This is our first pregnancy after trying for a year, so i’m feeling really heart broken. Has anyone had a similar situation but it’s turned out okay? I am trying to cling to some hope.
