Amniocentesis & CMV testing

Has anyone had these in prior pregnancies? I know the risks associated with them which is why I had written it off completely. However, I had insane anxiety at my first appt and now I’m wondering if I should go ahead and do this so I know if this baby has the same syndrome as my first.

Any tips on how you came to this, do you regret it? Do you wish you had gotten it done last time? There is a 50% chance this baby will have the same thing as my first.
