High Risk Appointment and Scared

Sabrina

Any first time moms afraid of their first appointment? I have one with a high risk doctor and I’m scared.

Im five weeks and one day. I’ve only known for a week, however I haven’t seen my primary physician in almost 4 years. My OB’s office wouldn’t answer the phone (after 5 calls in one morning), so I chose a new OB (thanks google - If I have a question I’m not waiting all morning and day for it to be answered… Plus they have awful recent reviews about the lack of answering). I have a high-risk appointment (thyroid condition) on Wednesday so I’ll be five weeks and three days!

This is a miracle baby, after four years of infertility, spontaneously happened when my thyroid levels were totally off (after 6months of remission) and my liver levels spiked. The moment I had the symptoms was when I was on a two week vacation, and after my first Covid shot (coincidence? It’s up to you).

I’ve heard so many stories of empty sac’s or embryos too small... I wonder if all this medical stuff going to mess with my embryo. I’m on medication now for these conditions (i’ve been working with my endocrinologist closely, but 100% didn’t expect a pregnancy due to one tube and male factor infertility), but it has me so worried.

I don’t even have my hCG levels because I haven’t been able to see anyone, I can’t wait for Wednesday to hopefully get them. I just dread looking at that screen (confirmed transvaginal ultrasound) and seeing nothing. 😥😥😥😥😥
