Just curious if anyone here has had endometriosis confirmed by lap but had fairly mild symptoms beforehand? What led to the decision to have the laparoscopy? What stage did you wind up having? I have suspected endo, with endometriomas seen on ultrasounds and a blocked tube, but feel like my symptoms are so mild compared to what I read about… mainly cramping/back pain throughout the month but usually pretty mild except for the few days leading up to and during the start of AF…some months are worse than others…but for symptoms alone I don’t think I’d proceed with a lap, but we have been TTC for almost a year with no luck and now I’m wondering if a lap would be worthwhile to see if that would give us some more answers.. I have an appt coming up in a couple weeks, so just wanted to hear if anyone has had similar experience.

Update: when I finally met with a surgeon she was “stunned” I hadn’t been referred sooner after seeing my ultrasound reports with endometrioma and blocked tube. Severe endometriosis confirmed today by laparoscopy. Will be meeting with my doctor asap to discuss and make a plan for going forward. So many mixed emotions! So relieved to be validated and know that endo is indeed the problem, but sad and scared considering it’s worse than expected.
