Ear infection or teething?

My 6 month old is a GOOD baby. However, he started getting very fussy the last two days. Last night he woke up more than usual and I couldn’t put him down. He was very hot to the touch and he kept fussing. I changed his clothes. After holding him and giving him Tylenol, he went to sleep for a while. He woke up the next morning and was no longer warm. he was fussy all day though and was again hard to put down tonight

. He fell asleep while I was massaging his gums. He woke up only two hours later crying. He didn’t want a wet washcloth and still fussed when i massaged his gums. He finally fell asleep when I held him and hit his back over and over like I’m burping him. Is this teething or something else? I posted a pic from two days ago of his teeth. He usually sleeps 11 hours and never fusses down this is very unlike him. No other symptoms.
