How long did your child use their pack n play?

Question

I got one at my shower a year ago and my daughter doesn’t use it. I’m not sure if I should get rid of it or keep it. She laid in it maybe 3 times as a baby and doesn’t like playing in there since now she’s older and wants to crawl/walk around. What did you do with yours? Would it come in handy later? It’s in great condition, I just don’t see any use for it and to be honest it’s taking up a lot of space in our small home lol. I’m afraid if I get rid of it mother in law will say something since she bought it for us. She sleeps in her crib with the Newton mattress so I don’t think we will need it for sleeping.

My son barely used his except for the first few months of his life. And he never slept it. For some reason I still ha e mine folded up in my closet I’m abojt to just give it to another parent lol

My daughter hated it so we put it away after 3 months before she turned 1 years old.

They’re a must-have. My daughter is 2 and my son is 1 and I still put them in the pack n play in the bathroom while I shower. We also use it on trips, visiting family, etc.

When I go out somewhere or someone babysits I take it. If we go to the park I take it. When I'm in the kitchen and I need him close . I used it with my 1st till 2ish.

My first son slept in one until he turned a year old. My second son transitioned out of his when he was six months old. I refuse to get rid of mine though. I simply moved it to my mothers house and she keeps it as an extra bed at her place for when she’s babysitting. I think they’re extremely handy to have, and I love that they can fold up and be carried.￼

Mine all sleep in a pack n play with a mattress made for pack n plays until they don't fit or reliably stay in their bed enough to have one without 4 walls. (2 yrs & 1.5 yrs)

When my son was too old for his, we cut the mesh off the sides and made it into a little “fort” for him to go inside and play with his toys.

With my first, she used it all the time when she was a baby. When she started rolling over, we only used it as a changing station. Soon after, we removed the top inserts & she played inside until she was about 1 year old. She eventually got tired of it because at that point she was already walking. We used it for napping here & there, but I’d say she used it for a year. We kept ours & saved it for future kids so that way we’re getting more bang for our buck. We do have our second child who is due in 6 weeks or less so he’ll definitely be getting some usage out of it.
