Period help

Sorry for the longish post, Someone please give advice/help me. I posted a similar post in this group a few weeks ago and got no responses. So i could really use the help.

Currently on month 2 of birth control. I started taking it because I will be having a weight loss surgery done in a few months and I need to be on it for a while before surgery. This is my first time on an oral contraceptive. I had the IUD for a year and a half and then was taken off of it so we could try for a baby. A few months later I found out I had PCOS and tried for a baby for about a year with no luck. My periods were super irregular, but regular (if that makes sense) I’d skip a month, then bleed for a month. I was put on clomid for 3 months and that regulated my period but then I started taking birth control and now we are back to the weirdness. I called my dr’s office 2 weeks ago complaining about the irregularities but they said BC takes up to 3 months to regulate. Ladies I am dying. This has been absolutely horrible. Sex hurts while I’m bleeding, i have insane crampings, completely soaking tampons, should I call my dr again? I’ve been bleeding a week or so after my last period but now it’s a heavy flow again. Any advice would be appreciated!
