Potty training readiness
So I'm having trouble determining whether my little guy is ready to potty train or not. It was so easy to tell with his big brother, who was potty trained in one day at 23 months. This one is 22.5 months, but doesn't do much talking. Occasionally, he'll say a word or phrase, but it's not consistent and most the time he babbles or uses gestures to communicate. I've tried to teach him the word "potty", but he's having none of it lol.
However, he always wants to go with me or his dad or siblings to the bathroom. He's definitely interested in that room and what goes on in there. And just today he told me (not in so many words) that he needed a diaper. He took his pants off, handed them to me, then started trying to get his diaper off. When he couldn't get it off, he grabbed my hand and put it on his diaper, his way of saying "help me get this off". I'm just not sure if I should take the plunge and give it a try, or if I should give him a bit more time to develop language skills.
