Iron supplements side effects?(Anemia)

So my doctor told me I’m anemic and I’m already 36 weeks. I started taking Iron supplements twice a day and I’ve been way more itchy than usual and have a bit of rash. Could this be a side effect of the pills? Have you guys gotten side effects from these?? I just hope it’s the pills and that I don’t have ICP cause I’m itchy everywhere

Please mention the itchiness to your dr. Especially this far along. Could be a side effect of meds or pregnancy but could be something to investigate further.

Your meds should have come with a side effect insert. My iron pills made my stool dark green / black and no matter how much I wiped or with what, I never could get it off because it was so sticky. I was so raw that I jumped in pain during the GBS test. At that point, they let me reduce my amount since I was almost at delivery and my levels had been good.
