Do you all check your cervix???

Question

What does your cervix feel like at ovulation and early pregnancy?? Mine was really soft and medium-high forever and now it’s a little higher up and firmer. Could this mean I’m pregnant? I’m finding different things on Google so just curious of any personal  experiences

Cervix position is different in every woman and fluctuates several times throughout a cycle, so cervix position in no way determines pregnancy. 🙂
And no, I don’t check mine because my OB said she highly recommends women not to because it’s very, very easy to contract an infection there. If you are checking yours at home make sure you’re being extra careful (maybe wait til you’re in the shower and have washed your hands with antibacterial soap).

The best advice I can give you is to leave your cervix alone!!! It’s not a sure shot way to determine anything but you can very easily infect/irritate it.

Cervical position does not determine anything. It changes throughout your cycle. Also you should not be checking your cervix, your just putting yourself at risk for infections, etc. No need to check cervix, you can track cm, but I don’t recommend sticking a finger in, should use toilet paper and see what shows on that. But even cervical mucus does not determine anything besides if it’s fertile or non fertile mucus. If you want to track and confirm ovulation you should use opks and temp, temping can also help determine if pregnancy could be a possibility or if period would be coming.
