3rd trimester bleeding? (26 weeks) 😭

Hey guys! I’m nearing my 3rd trimester now and have been spotting everyday for the past week. I went to the hospital when it first happened and the doctor was very confused. She said there was definitely fresh blood in my vagina but when she got closer to the cervix, the blood stopped & it was just normal discharge. She kept asking if had intercourse recently, but the answer was no. It’s been 4 weeks now since any intercourse.

She did blood work and checked on the baby. She said everything looked beautiful & healthy so she’s very confused about the blood and can’t give me a definite reason why it’s happening. Possible a vaginal tear, she said. She advised that I keep monitoring it and if it gets heavier or worse so come in again.

Well, it hasn’t gotten heavier. It’s still very light spotting (3-4 drops on my panty liner & pretty red blood when I wipe, but goes away after my 3rd wipe.) It doesn’t feel to be continuously flowing out or anything.

I’m starting to get slightly worried, only because if it WAS a tear, why hasn’t it closed up or stopped bleeding? It’s been a week now and still fresh red blood is coming out. 😭

I wanted to see if anyone had or is having a similar experience. I did also test positive for HPV right before I got pregnant so they haven’t done my test for that yet. It’s scheduled for after I give birth. I’m not sure if that can be a cause for concern.
