Naming 2nd baby after the father

Would it be weird to name the baby's middle name his father's name if he isn't the first born child? My husband's name goes really well with the first name we picked out. The reason I'm hesitant is I would never want my first born to feel like we did this purposely or he wasn't good enough to have his father's name. I wouldn't want him to feel left out. But maybe I'm just really over thinking it?
