I’m so pissed

Venting cause this is just bullshit. We’re having my child’s first birthday party today, I have done all the planning, all the preparations, invitations, etc.

My husband insisted on grilling so the entire party he was doing that. Didn’t let anyone else do it and our child hates other people right now so she’ll only let myself or him hold her. I held her and played with her and watched her the entire time while trying to eat. It comes time to cut the cake, which we had to wait an extra hour into her nap time cause his parents “were on the way”. I keep telling my husband it’s her nap time and she can smash the cake later. Nope, he TAKES HER FROM MY ARMS and him and HIS MOTHER stand by her with the cake and start to sing happy birthday.

I did all of the work for him to get his 5 mins of being a “good dad”. I’ll never get that moment back.
