How long does an IVF round take?

My husband and I are considering IVF. Due to my medical history, we are likely going to need a surrogate, since my doctor thinks I’m too high risk to carry myself. I’m 37 but have healthy normal uterus, ovaries based on testing, so my doctor thinks I can produce healthy eggs.

Total novice here, with a few questions:

How long does a round of IVF take from start to finish? Assume that I have healthy eggs, I’m ovulating normally, and husband has healthy sperm.

Does the surrogate come into the picture immediately? Meaning would the surrogate get inseminated with the 5-day blastocyst?
