I don’t enjoy going out anymore. Am I weird?

So I’m 23 Turing 24 in August. I used to like going out to bars and clubs but as of now it doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Lately my bf been complaining to me because I don’t wanna go out to the bars. I told him that it doesn’t appeal to me anymore and he called me boring and said I’m young that I should be enjoying it before I get too old. My friends been on my case as well saying that I don’t go out anymore. Idk I just don’t find it fun anymore. I would much rather go out to a museum or a nice dinner than to go out and drink and hardly remember the night. My bf is making me feel bad. So sometimes I force myself to go out but then he complains to me that “I don’t look like I’m having fun”. Like am I weird that I don’t enjoy it anymore?

Not weird at all! I don’t enjoy it like in used to. Every once in a while it might be nice to go celebrate with friends for something but that’s it. I much rather stay home or do something else if I go out that’s nice and quiet. It’s much nicer to go to dinner with my SO and some friends or family and just enjoy our time together. It’s not weird, and as people grow and mature I think it’s normal to not love all that partying stuff anymore. Don’t let others put you down, if it continues it might be time to revaluate these relationships/friendships. People grow and change and that’s okay!! Good luck!

It’s pretty common for your interests to change as you age. I personally don’t like going out to clubs and rarely enjoy going out to bars. A good night for me is eating chessey chicken and broccoli casserole on the couch with my wife, having a good glass of wine, and getting in bed by 7pm. You’re in your mid 20’s now. It’s perfectly natural to change.

I’m 26. Never enjoyed the college party scene and never liked going to bars/parties after college either. If I’m “boring” oh well lol. I don’t like drinking. My dad was an alcoholic when I was growing up. I’m just never in the mood to drink or go out. We also have a toddler and I’m pregnant now, so that’s another reason why 😂

No it's not weird I think it's normal to want different things at some point. It's not like you don't have any interest you just want to do different things there's nothing wrong with that, your boyfriend is wrong, there are plenty of ways to have fun not only one. And of course you have every right to have different interests he is being childish.

Nope! I’m 24 and don’t enjoy going out anymore. Doesn’t make you boring! I can’t deal with hangovers anymore and would much rather spend my money on something else. I go out on the very rare occasion but it’ll be for a couple of drinks at a bar and I won’t stay out late. Luckily my partner is the same, well he actually hates drinking/going out more than me! Do whatever makes you happy. Don’t feel pressured to going out if you know you’re not going to enjoy it. Your partner can always go out with his friends instead! Just sounds like you’re growing up to me which isn’t a bad thing at all🙂

I never liked going out in fact I stoped drinking alcohol when I was 18 can’t be bothered with it. I do other things at the weekends like find new hobbies watching shows with my fiancé going to a musical etc , doing garden or go out for walks or going out for adventurous finding new places to visit by the sea. It completely fine to not want to go out but find activites that your and partner likes to do together
