Handheld banana for 6 month old but how to wash the peel??

I feel like a terrible mom. I washed the banana with soap because I know there are tons of germs on the peel and she will be sticking it into her mouth!! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I cut it like a lollipop so she can hold onto it. Will she get sick?? I rinsed off the 🍌 well before cutting

I never wash the banana peel. That is just silly. Baby will be fine

I just peel them, slice it, and give it to the kids. Never have a I washed. I would never use soap on any kind of fruit. Just run it under hot water

Why don’t you take the peel off and give them the banana? Yeah it’s messy but you have a 6 month old. Any food you give them is going to be messy

I watched thid video where she just peeled the banana and pushed her thumb into the banana and it spit into 3 perfect pieces and they aren't slippery

I'd let her suck on it either washed with water or straight as it is because it will help boost her immune system

Took my 15 month old to a park, had a picnic at the tables…she put her mouth on the table top, the seat, eating food off the floor ( the tables were in a pavilion) and licked some of the play equipment. Don’t worry about a banana peel.
