Elope or wait 3 years

Hi so I've only known my bf since Nov but he's the one without a doubt. The problem is he goes to school 8 hours away. So there's 2 options, I live at home with my parents for another 3 years until we are both done with school and then get married and move to wherever he gets a job (I will be able to get a job pretty much anywhere). Or the other option is we elope and I move my life up there to be with him and go to a school that's an hour and a half away from his. I know eloping after less then a year of long distance sounds crazy but I mean he has already told me I'm getting a ring this year bc we just know. I'm not sure what to do and I hate being away from him.
