Eggs fertilize day 2???

We got a call this morning. 1 of my eggs fertilized and is at 2 cells. We are doing a fresh transfer, so as long as it’s at 5 cells or more tomorrow, we are good to go. I have never felt so much up and down.

We had our egg retrieval yesterday, 6/13. I had 5 eggs (we are doing a mini

). My eggs looked great and my husband sperm count was extremely good. We got the call this morning that none have fertilized yet. Has anyone had eggs fertilize day 2??? My doctor said it is definitely a possibility.

I did ICSI and got a call the next day.  Then at day 3 the number fertilized was one higher, and they said it had shown the signs of fertilization a day later so it can happen.

Yes! We had 16 eggs retrieved, but only 11 were mature the first day. On day 2 the remaining 5 eggs matured and all of them fertilized successfully! 2 out of our 4 pgs normal embryos are from our day 2 eggs. They’re both boys, so we plan to transfer one of them next time, God willing.🙏

Unfortunately not me.  I had a retrieval on Monday they called yesterday that only one egg was mature and didn’t fertilize properly.  This is our second IVF first one was abnormal chromosomes.

When I had my retrieval I got a call 24 hours later to let me know the report of how many were mature and how many fertilized

We got a call the next day about our fertilization rate. Now did they fertilize that day 🤷🏽‍♀️ but that’s when I got my call. We did ICSI, so they injected the sperm into each egg.
