I've been doing BLW(baby led weaning). She's been eating whatever we eat. Sometimes she will eat and sometimes she won't. But I love seeing her eat and trying next textures.

Avocado is a great way to start! If you think it’s too thick add a little bit of water. We did it our daughter is almost 5 now and still loves it. I did the sweeter foods later to get her used to the more bitter ones first.

I typically start with the greens because they are less sweet than the others. I used this chart with our first daughter and have recommended it to many of my mom friends! We will be using it again with our second child.

My son started with avocado, my daughter started with banana! Both were good options. I've never given them barley as that's not something we have laying around the house typically, lol. But we did BLW and pretty much nothing is off the table if you cut it small enough (with exception to things like honey, etc).
