I’ve never seen this before..

Visiting my husbands family for the first time across states and meeting his father. They have had a bumpy road because his dad refused to speak to him for years for something done. Well look, I’m not here to criticize people or judge them but I’m speechless after what I saw. We went to their house and first thing I notice is a shit stain on his chair. I was like what in the hell… I go to use the bathroom and it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Toilet paper everywhere and shit stains all over the toilet and it was just a disaster. This was his sisters room who is my age and her room was a disaster. I’m not one to complain if there a mess here and there but this was beyond disgusting. I don’t know if I’m the only weird one but I make sure to clean before I know anyone will step foot inside my house. I just felt pretty disgusted and couldn’t believe people live like that. On the other hand my husband is completely different and a clean freak. I just didn’t understand what was going on. I know some will say maybe they’re unable to and whatever but they make a good living and are very capable of cleaning up and not leaving water bottle thrown at the corner of the living room and dirt everywhere. It was such a turn off for me and can’t believe I just witnessed this type of living. Hope I don’t sound too judgmental but I have the right to be right now. Not sure if I should tell my husband something because I think he is embarrassed too. I just don’t know why it makes me feel different and very very veryyyy grossed out. I do not want to ever be around this ever again.
