What can I put on perineal stitches to help heal faster?

I had a second degree tear when delivering my baby two weeks ago. Lately when I’ve been urinating it’s been stinging my stitches. It just started stinging. The first week after delivery it didn’t sting when urinating. It’s almost like I’m healing backwards. What did you do?

Witch hazel WITHOUT the alcohol (it will dry them out and make them itchy). I also used so many of the ice pack pads that you can get from the hospital. Using the peri bottle when you use the bathroom too will help.

I had a second degree tear and I healed quick by keeping clean and DRY the only thing I used was dermaplast with my pad. I changed my pad pretty often especially the first couple of weeks

Have you tried “padsicles”? Pads with witch hazel, aloe and vitamin E, freeze it and put it on. That might help.
