40 and trying for #2

Anybody trying to get pregnant at 40? We have a two year old already but after much hesitation and doubt I really don't want my daughter to be alone and I'm ready for number 2. We just started trying last month and I did start spotting and got my period a day earlier than I normally do. Not that I thought I'd get pregnant right away but since that's what happened with my daughter, we tried for a month and got pregnant right away, I kinda was hoping that it would happen again. Any tips?
