A week ago, (6/15/21), I went into the hospital for induction at 37 weeks due to complications such as subchorionic hemmorhage, circumvallet placenta, and seizures that started during pregnancy. This was my third pregnancy and third time being induced so I knew how my labor was going to go, quick after 4cm! They gave me one dose of cytotec at 2:30am and I was at 1cm. I was checked again at 5:30am and was only at 2cm so they started pitocin. Checked again at 9:30am and was still 2cm, and my dr broke my water and by the time he went to put the internal monitors in I was 3cm. At 10:15am I got the epidural because I knew I didn’t want to do it without it, the nurse gave me the peanut ball and at 11:30am I was 5cm and the nurses came in every 10 minutes to rotate me because his heart rate kept dropping. They said he was probably squeezing his cord, but every time they flipped me it went back to normal. At 12:50pm I was checked one more time, I was 9cm. The nurses called my dr and he rushed to the hospital but not to my room just yet. He finally got in there around 1:15pm and they already had everything set up he just had to put the gown and gloves on. Well when he was putting his gloves on he looked at me and said “don’t cough, sneeze, laugh or anything, if you do he’ll go bungee jumping!” Well next contraction came at 1:23pm and I started pushing, they separated my pushes into 3 for 5 seconds a piece so I wouldn’t tear. He was born at 1:23pm weighing 6lbs 4oz and healthy! I know it was a long post and I appreciate you making it this far! Here are some pictures of my little boy and one of all 3 of my babies💙💗💙
