Induced or natural?

My doctor gave me the choice to induce me once I’m 39 weeks, since I am already dilated should I do it or would you wait?

Personally I’d wait. I was just induced at 35+4 due to preeclampsia and it was so so hard, I was 1/2 cm when they started. 
I 100% believe if I weren’t induced it would have been easier on me. I already know for future pregnancies if I don’t have a medical issue pop up then I will be waiting up to 41 weeks before considering induction

I’ve done both now and am hoping to go naturally but I did schedule an induction at 39 weeks. I think what makes all the difference with an induction is how ready your body is—dilation, effacement etc. If you’re closed, thick and baby’s still high up, I feel like that makes for a much longer and harder induction.

I think it depends on if you’re a first time mom or if this is 2+, and also how much you are dilated. Being able to plan is a bit of a perk? There’s still a chance you could go into labor before your date. It really depends on how you feel. I’ve only been induced because of medical reasons and this is the first time my induction isn’t being sprung on me so I was actually able to arrange childcare and have my mother come to stay with us for a few days (my whole family lives in a different state). I think there are a lot of pros and cons that you have to weigh for yourself.
