I bedshared with my daughter for way too long. She’s just now getting to the point where she’s sleeping in her own bed. I have a pack n play for her (her crib was left at her deadbeat dad’s house when we split up at 8 mos old, and he threw it away before I could come back to get it. We bedshared so I just didn’t bother getting another). I want to get her a real bed. Am I better off getting a toddler bed or a convertible crib? Toddler beds are cheaper and I know some parents start to transition around 18-24 mos. But I don’t love that she could get up and wander around her room during the night. I don’t think she’s ready for that.
