Anyone else have a high cervix?

Question

38 weeks today and midwife tried to do a sweep but said my cervix is too high so she couldn’t do it. She said I am 1-2cm and it’s soft . Anyone else have a high cervix? Does it usually move down as baby drops further down?

I have a midwife instead of my usual obgyn last friday. She also couldn’t reach my cervix but said she could feel the babies head. I thought that meant he maybe dropped or I was dilated but nope :( nada. Lol

My check at 38+4 I was in the same boat. Don’t worry it doesn’t mean that your body isn’t working to get ready for labour. It’s pretty early for a stretch and sweep if there is nothing wrong with your pregnancy. I’m not considering it until after I’m 40 weeks. Just trust your body knows what she’s doing. It’s built perfectly to birth your baby.

It’s totally normal to be high. It kind of swings to the back during pregnancy, and yes, as baby puts more pressure down there it moves forward. 
Mine was far back at 40+ weeks with my son, and my midwife actually grabbed it between two fingers to pull it forward so she could do a sweep. Do not recommend, someone grabbing your cervix hurts worse than the actual sweep. 😂
