COMID medicine- work for over 40?

Hello

I’m 44 and have 2 boys from previous marriage (8&10) . My current husband is 39 never had kids and did a sperm test and he’s low.

He’s healthy and exercises and doesn’t do any drugs

Would COMID work for us? I’m trying to

Stick with natural and healthy things like change diet , etc

Hey! I completely understand what you’re going through. I’m 42 and husband 31. I have two teenagers and he has no biological children. He has male fertility issues, morphology to be exact. I tried clomid, with ovulation prediction kits and plenty of sex during fertility week and fell pregnant but miscarriage occurred at seven weeks. IVF is not going to be our route as we do not want to be financially strained and cause us marital problems because of it so we’re trying naturally and he just started today a male fertility supplement called Conception so we’re hopeful as it says it helps with male fertility issues. Good luck... Oh and make sure you get your hormone levels checked and a panel called the 3 day period cycle bloodwork.

I’d say try Clomid. Giving your age you don’t have a lot of time to go the natural route. Good luck.

I was told by my fertility specialist that clomid doesn't work for women over the age of 41 or 42 I can't remember. I'm 45 now just turned it this week. he said my best option was ivf

I think letrozole is better for over 40s. Clomid can thin your lining. I'd look into both and then have a conversation with your Dr about the pros and cons of both.
