Any pediatricians/nurses in here?

My exclusively breastfed 5 month old has been having green diarrhea for 2 1/2 days now (started overnight 2 nights ago). They have blood in them too. My ped is running tests on samples that won’t be back until next week, but I’m worried. Should I take her to the emergency room or just wait on these tests?

Not a pediatrician, but gut irritation can cause some blood. As long as it’s not black, it’s usually okay. That poop looks like baby is getting too much foremilk, and not enough of the fatty hind milk. Do you drain the breast completely before switching to the other?

I’m not sure but just wait on the tests. If it was more urgent your paediatrician would have sent you straight to the ER already. They’ll only do the same thing and get tests in the ER but you might have answers quicker there.
