New and experienced nurses: please share with me why you chose this profession, what you like about it and then please tell me what you do not like about it or maybe was not expecting. Do you ever have regrets?

Let me just say my passion is to help others, but I am torn between going to nursing school or pursuing a law degree. I am in my early 30s with two children and I just don’t want to regret or feel like I should have done one over the other. Any insight would be helpful. I currently have a bachelors and masters and my original plan was law school. However, when I first started out with college I was going to go the medical route. Thanks for your help!
