If you were sharing vaguely racist things would you want someone to tell you?

So my super sweet Aunt occasionally shares memes and things from white supremacist groups.  I am 100% sure she doesn't know they are racist. 
I DMed her to let her know. What the meme she just posted meant and that it seemed to come from a racist group. 
She got really upset with me. I thought I was helping.

Anyone who isn’t racist will welcome being checked and actually listen and learn and do better. People make mistakes but if you refuse to acknowledge them then you’re a damn racist. Pure and simple. A lot more people are racist than people like to think

Racist people don't generally like being told they are racist. Even sweet old ladies can be racists in disguise. I would ask her if she is receptive to learning why what she has shared is racist. If she says no and continues to share the things - shes a racist.

Obviously she's upset because she got caught no need to be upset if there was no ill intention she probably doesn't want it to be known that she's a racist even though if you're following & sharing racist memes it's pretty obvious but she's probably in denial

You’d have to be pretty dense to not know the things you’re sharing from a freaking white supremacy group is racist. 
Tell her she’s sharing racist content and if she’s offended then maybe she shouldn’t share racist content🤷🏽‍♀️.

She's not so sweet if she got upset. An aunt shared a back the blue meme once when it first started making news saying she was confused why people were upset about it. I explained and she was really thankful & took the post down. In the other hand I've pissed many other family members off.
