I know this is a stupid question but my period is due in 8 days and I took a test today is that too soon still? ( I like to think so 🥺)

Yes that is still early.
You are not out unless AF shows.
I had my + for my daughter 8 dpo.
But I know many that didn’t get it until 10+dpo.

All My positives were the day before missed period but this time around I am really impatient! I took one at 8 days and it was negative I am 5 days until period tomorrow and will test again in morning! 🤞Baby dust to you! ✨

Yes. Implantation doesn't even occur until 6dpo at the earliest, and you'd not yet get a positive test on that day. You're not out until af arrives.
