Is this odd ?

Okay so I went in for my ultrasound and blood work (day 4 of period) when they did the sono they said I had 2 cysts. I spoke with the doctor and he said if my blood comes back with high estrogen then that might not be a cyst and could be a follicle. So we make the plan for letrozole and trigger shot back to back iui’s and then a bunch of other meds. Then I get a call saying we are not doing a iui this month and not to take the meds that I should be ovulating in the next couple of days. That those were not cysts but follicles. They said have sex every day and do an over the counter opk. And then call and we will do a blood test for progesterone. Is this cycle a bust or is this is normal?
