Is it possible to ovulate twice???

I had a solid smiley on the 4th so we BD as many times as we could. Out of nowhere I just thought to test again with the last opk I had before I binned it and it’s a solid smiley again I’m so confused. What the heck is going on?

You do not ovulate twice, only once per cycle. Opks do not determine ovulation, they just detect the surge in LH. You can have multiple surges and never ovulate. You would need to be temping to confirm ovulation. Once you confirmed ovulation you stop using opks for the remainder of your cycle. LH fluctuates constantly throughout your cycle so most women get another surge prior to period.

Once the surge happens you’re not meant to test again, because it causes confusion. The surge is when the magic happens. Your hormones can stay high after that giving ongoing positives

This happened to me. I was using cheapies and the clearblue, the cheapies didn’t look positive but clearblue gave me a solid smiley but when I checked the stick it wasn’t positive either. I just had a feeling it wasn’t right so I tested again a few days later and got a blazing positive which is when I ovulated for sure because that’s the only time I baby danced and I conceived.
