one month old and feedings ??

how long can a one month old go between feedings ??
my baby is 5weeks old and he’s been feeding every 2 hours since he’s been born. literally never misses a feeding and it definitely shows haha. but tonight he slept for 4 and a half hours ! i didn’t realize it had been that long because i fell asleep 😭 usually he wakes up 
was that too long in between feedings ? should i start setting an alarm to make sure he doesn’t go that long again ?

If he's OK, let it go and enjoy your sleep. He'll tell you when he's hungry

Usually the doctor will tell you baby can sleep however long they want once they reach or pass their birth weight. Always a good idea to call and ask if you want to.

If hes at his birth weight, 4 hours through the night is fine. My ped said rule of thumb that young was weeks old was number of hours of “long sleep” you can expect from them. So 4 hours at 4 weeks is fine, especially if theyre eating every 2 hours during the day
