Letrozole before HSG ?

Has anybody taken Letrozole to ovulate before getting your tubes checked ? Is it safe to take Letrozole before HSG ?

I have. I asked my RE about it, but she said because tube blockage is rare without the presence of certain factors, she didn't think it was necessary or worth the discomfort.

I don’t think there’s any issue with safety, but it makes more sense to do testing rule out blockages etc before undergoing any treatment like taking medication

Assuming you don’t have a blockage it’s fine. But if you’re going to take meds then you should probably have the HSG before. I had my HSG before meds and I am glad as I did, as I ended up having a blockage and it could have been a waste of meds or I could have ended up with an ectopic pregnancy. The HSG cleared my blockage and I got pregnant on round 7 of meds.
