Has anyone been on Buspar before? What was your side effects like?

I have been on Buspar for a week now and which I have to take them twice a day. I have been getting nightmares at night and chest pains. It could be just gas but I wasn't like this before I took Buspar I don't think. 
This has me worried 100 % and I'm just sitting here crying as I write this. I don't know what to do other than calling my doctor. 
What should I do? Stop taking them in general or just call my doctor? What would you do?

You def need to call your doctor asap. Anxiety/depression meds are nothing to wait on. As far as wether to stop taking it before talking to your doctor is concerned, that’s up to you and depends heavily on your situation, and instructions you received with this prescription. What were you told to do in case of side effects? I’ve used buspar before. In my situation I would have stopped taking it and called asap. But I had other coping methods that helped just enough that I would be ok with that, until I received other help. If you’re in a position in which your anxiety is uncontrollable without the medication, it would not be wise to stop taking it until consulting with your doctor. Call your doctor right away and get yourself taken care of. 
Also, are you familiar with panic attacks? I’m not saying that is for sure what you’re experiencing, but looking up and using coping methods targeted to those may be helpful while you get this figure out.
