5 month old choking on saliva?

Question

So today I had two scary incidents with my LO. Both times she was laying on her play mat.. she would start coughing like choking on spit. I pick her up and she's having a difficult time breathing for 30 seconds to a minute. Also tears running down her cheek. But when it's over she's fine. I'm wondering if it's normal? If not I'm calling the doctor tomorrow. I'm just scared, first time mom here. 🤧

This happens to my daughter at least once a day. She has so much saliva!!! 😩

It cab be mucus build up. My little ones the same.
I use steam from a hot shower, instand in there with door closed and then i use nose frieda to clear his nose from the loose snot. Works a treat xx

My LO was doing the same thing about a month ago. I took him to the doctor and they order a swallow test. They never contacted me to schedule the test and then after I took him to the doctor it never happen again. 
Another thing is your LO congested? Sometimes is because they are trying to swallow mucus and they choke a little. Or it could be extra saliva from teething. But I'd say make an appointment to be sure. I hope it gets better. I totally understand how scary it is for that to happen.
